THE GMB TRANSPORT SYSTEM FOR POUCHES, AN INNOVATION BY BOSSAR
BOSSAR offers the ideal technical solution to heavy and large volume packaging formats: the GMB pounch transport system - a unique technology in the horizontal form fill and seal machines for flexible pouches. Designed and patented by BOSSAR in 1996, the system consists of a number of mechanical grippers assembled on a chain or linear carrousel with intermittent motion.
Pouches, after being made in the pouch making area, are transferred to the carrousel grippers by means of an efficient mechanical device which elevates and inserts the pouch maintaining its position during the complete filling and sealing process.
The mechanism that activates the grippers´ hold has been specifically designed to hold pouches up to 5Kg. Thanks to the GMB system, pouches keep their initial position perfectly aligned during the complete opening, filling and sealing process. |
